Marketing and Graphic Design Intern

The marketing/graphic design internship is a temporary position intended to provide undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity for professional development in the rapidly evolving non-profit industry.


                               PRIVATE EVENTS

Bartender

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for enthusiastic bartenders to provide an excellent guest services experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations during private events. Compensation includes hourly and tips. Non-Exempt – Hours Vary Based on Private Event Needs.

Private Event Staff

JOB SUMMARY

As a team member of Heritage Hill State Historical Park, you will help build a positive working environment as well as inspire, transform and build our community through exceptional cultural and historic experiences. Under the general supervision of the Park’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Private Events Assistant provides principle support and assures seamless functioning of the (Private Events). This position will also be responsible for cleaning the event spaces and setting up for events and meeting in the park according to schedule. This is a very seasonal job, with high demand during May – November, primarily weekends day and evenings. Looking to on-board staff in anticipation for season opening (May) **Applicants with current and valid bartender license preferred**

                                     EDUCATION

Visitor Experience Enhancement Intern

JOB SUMMARY

The Visitor Experience Enhancement Intern(s) will evaluate Heritage Hill for ways to make visitors’ experiences more enjoyable. This will include, but not be limited to, evaluating buildings to determine their accessibility to visitors without gates, determine whether certain artifacts should or can be replaced with reproduction items so they can be stored safely, identify parts of buildings and the park as a whole that can become more interactive. Visitor Experience Enhancement Intern(s) will also conduct research on museum displays, recommend displays for various areas of the park, including the content on the displays (design) and companies to order from. This is an unpaid internship, and there are two positions available. 

Program Coordinator Intern

JOB SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator Intern will assist with all aspects of coordinating school and public programs. This intern will learn the logistics behind scheduling programs at a historic site, including scheduling times and visits, coordinating supplies for programs, and assisting in the revision and development of old and new programs. This is an unpaid internship, and there is one position available. 

Fall Field Trips Educational Interpreter

JOB SUMMARY 

The primary function of the Educational Interpreter is to create memorable experiences for visitors of Heritage Hill State Historical Park. The Educational Interpreter’s goal is to actively engage our audiences, nurturing an interest in historic Wisconsin. The Educational Interpreter will study the history of the site they are assigned to and interpret this information to be presented in an interactive, informative, and fun way, immersing the visitors in the sensory experience of living in the past.

                              VISITOR SERVICES

 

Visitor Services Associate

JOB SUMMARY

As a team member of Heritage Hill State Historical Park, you will help build a positive working environment as well as inspire, transform and build our community through exceptional live experiences. Under the general supervision of the Park’s Visitor Services Manager, The Visitor Services Associate provides principle support and assures seamless functioning of the Visitor Services Department. The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for the daily functions of the front desk and the gift shop. This includes but is not limited to: meeting and greeting park visitors, having knowledge of all the park’s programs and offerings, providing a brief park orientation and direction for park visitors, completing daily cash transactions, answering incoming telephone calls, distributing mail, cleaning, stocking, database management, and volunteer coordination and social media engagement. This position requires a high level of critical thinking and the ability to work both independently and part as a team.
