 Civil War Reenactment

Sat & Sun, June 23-24
10 - 4:30 pm

Experience the life of a soldier in the Civil War through the reenacted Battles of Brawner’s Farm and South Mountain (Saturday) and Antietam (Sunday). This event will have a special focus on medical treatment with an opportunity for visitors to assist the surgeons trying to heal wounded soldiers using medical methods practiced in a field hospital (Saturday morning & Sunday afternoon). An interactive toy soldier display will provide a hands-on perspective. Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will host displays on the Grand Army of the Republic, Civil War memorabilia, and genealogical information about ancestors who fought in the Civil War. 

Saturday: 

  • Battle of Brawner's Farm
  • Battle of South Mountain 

Sunday: 

  • Two (2) battles of Antietam
  • Performances by the Regimental band of Wisconsin

Both Days:

  • Field Hospital Scenarios after each battle - assist the medical professionals of the era in helping heal the post battle casualties 
  • An interactive toy soldier display
  • Geneology informaion lead by the Sons of the Union Veterans - See if your ancestors fought in the Civil War! 
  • Presentation about the Iron Brigade.  
  • Spy Game for children

Admission: 

Adults: $10
Children: $7 
Seniors/Students/Veterans (of any war/military service!): $7

New for this year is our addition of our VIP tent.
Sample over 50 craft beers that will be paired with many local area restaurants.
And if it could not get any better, Ants Marching will be performing for your listening pleasure.


VIP tickets are $75 Advance or $85 Day of
VIP are at limited quantity, with only 200 tickets available for purchase.
VIP includes early access to event (5:30pm), a collectible Heritage Hill glass beer growler filled with our very own “Hillganger Ale” brewed specially for us by Fox River Brewing Company, private access to VIP tent with elegant decor and seating, and best of all a full spread of fantastic food provided by ZoZo’s Kitchen.

General admission tickets are $45 Advance or $55 Day of.

To purchase tickets please stop in to Heritage Hill’s Visitor Center Tuesday – Friday’s from 10am to 4:30pm or call us at (920) 448-5150 to purchase over the phone. 
Tickets purchased over the phone may be picked up during our normal business hours or held for day of event at will call.
Please note that any credit card transactions for tickets will be charged a 4% processing fee.
