Music On the Green
For all MoTG Events:
Gates open at 5:00pm. Concert begins at 6pm.
Admission is FREE!
Tram Transportation is available. Local food trucks will be on site to provide some non-musical flavors. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair to make the evening more enjoyable.
Concerts are played outdoors, rain or shine, however if there is a threat of severe weather, the concert will be cancelled.
Monday, June 12: Allouez Village Band
This familiar local concert band with 75 members from northeast Wisconsin performs monthly at the Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay and many other events in the Green Bay area. The Allouez Village Band works to promote awareness of belonging to a larger community and demonstrates that commitment through appearances at local functions.
Monday, June 26: Monroe Crossing
Named in honor of Bill Monroe "The Father of Bluegrass Music," Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada.
Monroe Crossing is made up of five very distinct personalities with different musical backgrounds and tastes, combining for a very unique ensemble sound. They are Derek Johnson: guitar, lead & harmony vocals; Lisa Fuglie: fiddle, mandolin, lead & harmony vocals; Matt Thompson: mandolin, fiddle, baritone vocals; Mark Anderson: bass & bass vocals; and Green Bay native, David Robinson: banjo. Their paths crossed through the music of Bill Monroe so they like to say they had a "Monroe Crossing."
Monday, July 10: Grand Union
Grand Union is best described as "Country Music That Rocks", Grand Union is quickly proving to be one of Wisconsin's best country acts!
Performing a perfect blend of today's hits and yesterday's greats, Grand Union delivers an awesome show that will have ya dancing' all night long! For all you country music fans; young, old or in between… make sure you come check out the band taking Wisconsin by storm - Grand Union!
Monday July 24: The Cougars
These 3 female vocalists perform everything from Fleetwood Mac to Lady Gaga with spine tingling harmonies. This band tosses in cross-over country, 80's hits, and party anthems to fill up that dance floor! The Cougars were brought together by previous band gigs, dinner theater, and friendship. They are Anna Snyder (vocals), Stephanie Reinl (vocals/keyboard), Heather Tenhaken (vocals), Eric "Catnip" Snyder (bass/vocals), Kurt "The Cougar Whisperer" Risch (drums), Tommy "Tom Cat" Reynolds (guitar).
Monday August 6: The Fabulous Rugburns
Webster’s defines the word fabulous as extraordinary, amazingly good; wonderful. That's exactly the type of experience you will have with The Fabulous Rugburns. Featuring members of local favorite RPM, the band was born out of a desire to play great music and have a good time doing it. The Fabulous Rugburns strive to have fun with the crowd and will put on a show that will keep the dance floor full. The show encompasses almost every genre of music from rock and pop, to country and even polka! Specializing in full band acoustic versions of all your favorite music complete with stellar vocals and harmonies, the band will never shy away from a request, in fact we encourage it! With a band motto of “we’ll try anything once”, you are sure to get a unique and fun show with The Fabulous Rugburns.
Monday August 21: Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys
Born and raised on south side of Chicago, the Reverend has been playing the blues since 1971. After 15 year hitch in the Navy he moved to Milwaukee where he began a long friendship and collaboration with Madison Slim, long time harmonica player for Jimmy Rogers. Since 1990 he has opened for B.B King, Gatemouth Brown, Pinetop Perkins, Koko Taylor Band, Junior Wells, Billy Branch, Magic Slim, Elvin Bishop, Sugar Blue, Lonnie Brooks, William Clarke, Lefty Dizz, Rod Piazza, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Duke Robillard, Jeff Healy, Trampled Underfoot, Mike Zito, Nick Moss, Tommy Castro and numerous others at festivals and at Buddy Guy’s Legends where he has been on rotation as a headliner for 16 years
