Volunteer Opportunities

Heritage Hill State Historical Park can’t operate without the support of its volunteers, a corps of dedicated individuals and groups who work at the park all year long. And with 56-acres, 27 historic buildings, dozens of pieces of machinery, and hundreds of annual private and special events, there is always a way for new volunteers to get involved, utilize their special skills, and help make this cultural organization shine in the local community!

We always have ongoing volunteer opportunities available. Click on each to learn more:

Not looking for a regular volunteer commitment? We also have an assortment of special volunteer projects that occur at sporadic intervals. This includes opportunities such as sewing, holiday decorating, special event support, and more.

Are you part of a group that’s looking to give back? Have hours to donate as part of your company’s volunteer incentive program? Consider volunteering at Heritage Hill for the day. We have plenty of projects that are perfect for groups who are ready to get out of the office, strengthen their teambuilding skills, and help support this local cultural organization. To learn more about group volunteer opportunities, please contact Nick Backhaus, Director of Operations and Restoration, at nick@heritagehillgb.org.

If you’re interested in one of our volunteer opportunities or want to be added to our volunteer email list, please email Claire E. Gwaltney, Director of Engagement, at claire@heritagehillgb.org. We’d love to include you on our volunteer team!
