Help us ensure that no one with breast cancer will ever walk alone. Join us for a 3 mile walk and festivities at Heritage Hill State Park! There is no cost to register. Enjoy music and activities for the whole family! All proceeds support breast cancer research, education and prevention efforts, and support services for breast cancer patients through the American Cancer Society.

ROUTE AND PARKING INFORMATION

Heritage Hill on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

  • Parking: Heritage Hill has two parking lots located off Webster Ave for your parking convenience.  Should these lots become full please utilize local side street parking near the park, ensuring you are following and aware of all parking ordinances, and NOT blocking residential driveways.  Also, for participants convenience there will be a FREE shuttle service available between the CP Parking lot off Webster and Heritage Hill.  First Student busing will be running this shuttle starting at 7:30am and the last shuttle will depart Heritage Hill at 12:45pm.  For CP Lot Shuttle Bus Parking, from Heritage Hill, Turn RIGHT (South) onto Webster Ave.  2) Continue south on Webster for about ¼ mile over the 172 interchange  3) Turn LEFT (East) onto Broadview Dr  4) Shuttle Bus Parking will be located on the LEFT in the CP Center Parking Lot
  • Route: We will have three route options. The walk begins next to the stage, which will be behind the Heritage Hill education center, following the opening ceremony (look for the arch).  To start, the route will take us through the Heritage Hill State Park and onto the Fox River Trail; this non-competitive route is approximately 3 miles. There will also be a 1 ½ mile opportunity to loop through the park as well as a Heritage Hill tram that will be specially be available for guests with physical limitations; the park tram is ADA compliant but spacing is limited, and reservations are recommended by emailing GreenBayWiStrides@cancer.org.

Check-in

Sign up online for easy check-in the day of the walk. All event participants, including children, need to register for the walk. If you do not register online prior to the event, please visit the check-in area upon arrival.

 8:00 AM – Inside the Heritage Hill State Park Education Center

Enter in front door of the building

Whether you register online or the day of the event, registration is free.

 

If you have registered online: Check in is simple if you’ve already signed up online.  Please visit the registration table to turn in any donations and receive your pink registered walker sticker to verify your registration.

 

If you have NOT registered online: Please come to the check-in area to complete a paper registration form.  Turn in your completed form along with any donations and receive your pink registered walker sticker.

Walk Begins

We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line.

10:00 AM

WHERE TO MEET YOUR TEAM

              Heritage Hill State Park Garden Patio

              Activities before the walk will take place mostly outside the Heritage Hill State Park Education Center

as well as on the surrounding patio area.  Meet at the Big Pink chair to get your team/group photo or pick any one of the many areas listed below.

 

Walk Route: The walk will start and end in front of the Garden Patio.  (enter Education Center to check in and then head downstairs and out to the back for Activities!)  To start the 3 mile walk, please head West through the Heritage Hill Park.  Signs will mark the route and lead you to the Fox River Trail and back into the Park.  ** Please stay on the trails   (Map to come….)

Survivor check-in:

Survivors, check in when you arrive at the walk.  Please fill out a paper registration form or sign up online.

 VIP Survivor area and private VIPink Porch:

The survivor area is a special area for survivors and the caregivers attending with them.This area will be located upstairs in the Heritage Hill Education building overlooking the Strides event and the beautiful city of Green Bay – I bet the colors will be spectacular!  We include both survivors and caregivers to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible.  You’ll find important information about American Cancer Society programs and services geared especially for you.
