April 13: The Green Bay and Fox River Water Heritage

Brie Kupsky

Brie is the Green Bay Program Coordinator within the Office of Great Waters at WDNR. She holds a BS in Environmental Science and MS in Environmental Science and Policy with an emphasis in Ecosystem Studies. Her master’s thesis research focused on restoring extirpated aquatic plant species in lower Green Bay, including northern wild rice, wild celery, and hardstem bulrush. Today, Brie coordinates various aquatic ecosystem restoration and research projects in the Green Bay watershed. Her presentation will focus on the history of ecosystem degradation in the Fox River and bay of Green Bay and efforts to restore the health of these waterbodies, including the Fox River Heritage project at Heritage Hill State Park.
