Ceramic Ornament Workshop
Learn how to create, through the art of hand built pottery, a holiday ornament piece that will be glazed the same day you build it! Karen Eckberg, owner of Owl Arts, will facilitate the workshop. You will decide on the shape of the ornament (angel, snowflake, wreath, etc), decide on any texture or personalize it, and then glaze it. All supplies and tools needed are included
Karen Eckberg is a ceramicist in Northeastern Wisconsin. She makes functional ware and sculptural pieces. She enjoys creating small batches of items and experimenting with mixed media like metals and floss. Karen works with nonprofits to create unique handmade pieces for fundraisers and teaches ceramics and art to many populations in NE Wisconsin workshops for adults in Green Bay and Door county.
This class is 2 hours of hands-on instruction and assistance. Each person in the class will create 2 ornaments. Karen will take all items to be dried, fired and then will be returned to Heritage Hill in about a month’s time.
