Join blacksmith Randy Bellin for an introduction to blacksmithing. Participants will learn the basics of blacksmithing and create a classic S hook and/or leaf keychain to take home in the historic 1897 blacksmith shop at Heritage Hill. Safety procedures will be reviewed at the workshop, but all participants should arrive wearing long sleeved shirts, pants, and closed toe shoes. All materials will be provided.

Randy Bellin has been blacksmithing for about 35 years. He first became interested in blacksmithing on a visit to Heritage Hill and an interaction with the smith here. Over his years volunteering at Heritage Hill, he has worked with many talented smiths and learned their techniques. Today he continues to mentor new smiths and likes passing his knowledge on to others.
