Opening of the *NEW* Growing Community exhibit (open daily)

  • Discover the rich tapestry of our town’s past with our new self-guided exhibit. Set in the annex of the Library, this immersive exhibit transports visitors to the early 19th century, showcasing the pivotal moments and everyday life of our burgeoning community. Through carefully curated artifacts, interactive displays, and vivid narratives, you’ll explore the stories of pioneering settlers, their challenges, and their triumphs. Engage with an exhibit that will paint a vivid picture of how our ancestors laid the foundation for the vibrant town we know today.

Hands-on-history activities (available daily throughout the Park)

  • At Heritage Hill, visitors can delve into the past through an engaging array of historic games that bring history to life. From traditional outdoor games like egg and spoon and jump rope to draughts that entertained generations, these interactive experiences offer a playful glimpse into bygone eras. Each game is carefully preserved to reflect the era it represents, providing a fun and educational way to connect with history and see how past generations spent their leisure time beyond football.

Costumed Interpreters (select buildings, daily)

  • Experience our past, brought to life! Dressed in period-appropriate attire, interpreters (so called because they interpret our history) will be in select buildings throughout the week to engage you through storytelling and historic demonstrations,  offering an immersive glimpse into Wisconsin’s history. Help them complete traditional crafts, watch them fire muskets, smell their cooking over an open hearth, or simply ask them questions about daily life to learn how relevant history is to today.

Frozen in Time: The Legacy of the 1967 Ice Bowl (Thursday, April 24 | 1 – 3 pm)
