Where: Heritage Hill State Historical Park
This one-day event focuses on interpreting the local fur traders at La Baye after the British took control in 1763. Following the abandonment of Fort Edward Augustus, fur trading continued among French families and Menominee Indian villages around the Fox River. By 1779, notable traders like Charles de Langlade, Pierre Grignon, and Joseph Roi operated in the area, with Roi’s fur trade cabin, now known as Tank Cottage, still standing at Heritage Hill.
General admission applies and may be purchased day-of.
